Our Mission

The Washington State Chapter of the International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP) was chartered in 1943 and enjoys a rich tradition and history of contributions to workforce excellence in our State. We are a professional association of members who work in public and private workforce development programs.

IAWP members form an integral part of the success of the workforce development system. We are a non-profit educational association dedicated to workforce professionals with a tradition and history of contributions to workforce excellence. Several of our members have received IAWP awards and have been elected to the International Hall of Fame.

Professional growth and development is a priority. We are dedicated to providing members with quality educational content to enhance competence and proficiency and increase knowledge. Members receive the tools and resources needed to effectively contribute to their work through local, state, regional, and international educational conferences, workshops, and institutes. Visit our Education and Training page.

The Washington Chapter extends a welcome to you and encourages you to contact us regarding membership in the IAWP. We welcome, as a member, any person who is interested in the field of Workforce Development. Visit our About Us page.
